Lokomotiva Zagreb is slowly getting a new stadium in Kranjčevićeva street, which will be completed by the end of this year. The club has released visuals of the construction site, which confirm that the project is proceeding according to plan. The new stadium will have a capacity of 11,163 seats, and football will be played on a grass pitch with dimensions of 105 × 68 meters. As part of the accompanying facilities, a new city square, over 400 parking spaces, and concert spaces will be built. Lokomotiva Zagreb will thus get a modern arena of UEFA's 4th category after more than half a century. Zagreb will get another modern facility, which will be important for Zagreb's football. The city has previously emphasized that this project is key to Zagreb's football. Only after the completion of Kranjčevićeva, which is expected by the end of 2026, can the demolition and construction of the new Maksimir begin in cooperation with the Croatian government. Lokomotiva Zagreb will thus get a new home in the heart of Zagreb, which will be important for the club and its fans. The new stadium will be an important step for Lokomotiva Zagreb, which will enable the club to compete with the best clubs in the HNL.
